After signing one of Xample's early tunes to Hardleaders, it wasn't long before Crystal and Xample decided to combine their talents and see what could be created. The results didn't disappoint! From the tearout "Brother" and the bass-heavy "Spanish Harlem" on Frontline, to the anthemic "Sister" released on Ram's sister label Frequency, this was obviously a pairing that worked.
The pair's biggest hit to date however came in the form of the critically acclaimed "Heaven & Hell", part of the Dimensions EP on Ram. Featuring huge beats and bass, not to mention a sample by Crystal Clear himself, this was kaned by the likes of Andy C, DJ Hype and Dillinja to name but a few.
Crystal & Xample plan to get back in the studio to work on some more smashers...you've been warned!

Crystal and Zen's paths have crossed a few times since they first met many moons ago. From an initial meeting in the studio of pirate station Shadow FM in the late 90's they then went on to be label mates at Formation.
Sharing a mutual admiration for each others tunes and with Crystal having remixed a couple of Zen's killer dubs for Grid, they finally made time to get in the studio towards the end of 2008. The first such result was the bass heavy "Man With No Name" featured on the Strength In Numbers EP!
Zen has had previous success with "Full Effect" on his own label Flip Audio as well as the monster "Hovercraft" on Grid.
